Waited long enough, huh?

Ok here goes the long-promised post – bookmark it as you’ll need to get back here often.

Today, we’ll talk about the ‘good’ websites that pay freelance writers to contribute an article.

To satisfy people with different tastes, I’ve chosen sites focusing on diverse topics from freelance writing to poetry to web hosting etc.

You’ll find one that resonates with your particular interest.

Don’t worry, there’s no 5-bucks-per-article shit.

One Important Tip

Make sure you read the site’s Terms & Conditions and Payment Mode before submitting writing the article.

Ok, let’s get the ball rolling.

1. Freelance Switch

Freelance Switch not only features freelance jobs but also pays $50 per guest post.

2. Site Point

They accept articles on business, web design, coding, WordPress etc., and pay $100 per post plus bonuses based on page views.

3. UX Booth

Submit a post on usability, analytics, or design for $100.

4. Poetry Foundation

Are you a poet?

Submit your poems and earn $300 per piece.

5. US Airways Magazine

A godsend for travel writers. Compensation: $1 per word.

6. Review Me

Want to earn money by writing on your own blog?

Sign up and people will pay you to write reviews of their products. The price ranges from $20.00 to $200.00.

7. 1stWebDesigner

1stWebDesigner – one of the biggest web design blogs – pays $50-$75 per article.

You can write on a wide range of topics.

8. World Start

They pay depending on the length of your article: $25 for 250 words, $40 for 400 words, $45 for 600 words and $50 for 800 words.

9. Writers Weekly

It isn’t a blog but an online publication distributed to paying subscribers. You can earn $40-$60 per article.

10. WPWebHost

Know a lot about WordPress?

It’s time to earn some bucks.

You’ll receive $100 for each article accepted by the WPWebHost.

But the problem is…

There are countless writers submitting their articles and you’ll have to wait for your turn.

Immense competition also means only top-quality content will be accepted.

I don’t want to discourage you, but you deserve to know everything… don’t you?

And I’m sure you write better content than others :)

Any other easier option?

Yes.

Job boards!

And that’s what my next post is about.

Can you miss that???

What you should do now…

I’ll take it as a “thank you” – and I love “thank yous”!

Interesting list… Freelance Switch I think requires you to join… under $10 a month I think – some of the others I didn’t know about and in theory I’m an expert ;)

  4. Susan says:

Ali, I like your list. I notice however that many of these sites do not have a direct link to a ‘write for us page’. Do you recommend cold emailing?
    Thanks again for the post!

  7. Well done. Abosolutely nice collection. I have also compiled a list of writing sites, recently.

Sometime ago BrightHub.com was site I loved much because it didn’t required long long tutorials, instead, 800 word was limit and they paid $10 + $1/link insertion for each article.

But now they have abandoned their program.
